Riishta maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in any form. We are fully committed to the safety of children and to complying with all applicable child safety laws and regulations.

1. About Riishta

Riishta (available at https://riishta.com and on the Google Play Store as "Riishta") is a matrimonial and matchmaking platform operated by ContiNuvo Ventures (UDYAM-DL-02-0106004), registered at 220-D, Pocket-C, Mayur Vihar, Phase-2, Delhi-110091, India. Riishta is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 and above (21 and above for males) seeking serious matrimonial or relationship-based connections.

2. Prohibition of CSAE Content and Conduct

Riishta explicitly and categorically prohibits all forms of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): The creation, distribution, possession, solicitation, or sharing of any imagery, video, text, or other content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
  • Grooming: Any attempt to establish a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation, including communications intended to build trust with a child for inappropriate purposes.
  • Solicitation of minors: Any attempt to contact, solicit, or engage a minor for sexual purposes or to obtain sexual imagery from a minor.
  • Child trafficking: Any facilitation of or participation in the trafficking of children for sexual exploitation or any other purpose.
  • Sextortion involving minors: Any attempt to coerce, threaten, or blackmail a minor using sexual imagery or content.
  • Underage accounts: Creating or maintaining an account on behalf of a person under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.
  • Sexualization of minors: Any content that sexualizes or depicts minors in a sexual manner, including AI-generated or computer-generated imagery.
  • Promotion or normalization: Any content that promotes, glorifies, normalizes, or trivializes child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form.

3. Enforcement and Actions

Any user found to be in violation of these Child Safety Standards will face immediate and severe consequences, including but not limited to:

  • Immediate account suspension and permanent ban from all Riishta services.
  • Reporting to law enforcement authorities, including local police and relevant national/international agencies.
  • Reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline, and to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and relevant regional authorities.
  • Preservation of all relevant evidence for law enforcement investigation and prosecution.
  • Cooperation with law enforcement in any resulting investigation or legal proceedings.
  • Removal of all offending content immediately upon obtaining actual knowledge of it.

4. In-App Reporting Mechanism

Riishta provides a dedicated in-app mechanism for users to report concerns about child safety. Users can:

  • Access the "Report Child Abuse" feature from the user menu within the Riishta mobile app to submit detailed reports about suspected CSAE activity.
  • Report specific users directly from their profile page by selecting "Report Child Abuse" from the options menu.
  • Select a specific category of concern (child abuse, child exploitation, underage user, or inappropriate content involving minors).
  • Provide a detailed description and additional evidence to support the report.

All reports are treated with the highest urgency and are immediately flagged to our Safety Team for review. Reports are confidential, and reporters' identities are protected.

5. Handling of CSAM

Upon obtaining actual knowledge of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on our platform, Riishta will:

  • Immediately remove the offending content from our platform.
  • Permanently ban the user account responsible.
  • Preserve evidence in accordance with applicable laws for law enforcement use.
  • Submit a CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) within the timeframes required by applicable law.
  • Report to Indian authorities including the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Childline India (1098), and local law enforcement as required.
  • Cooperate fully with any resulting law enforcement investigation.

6. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Riishta complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (India)
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 (India), including Section 67B regarding child pornography
  • The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (India)
  • The PROTECT Act (United States)
  • 18 U.S.C. § 2258A — Reporting requirements for electronic communication service providers
  • All applicable international child protection frameworks and conventions

We maintain a process for reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to our relevant regional authority, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

7. Age Verification and Prevention

Riishta employs multiple measures to prevent minors from accessing the platform:

  • Minimum age requirement: Users must be at least 18 years old (21 for males) to create an account.
  • Date of birth verification during registration.
  • Identity verification through Aadhaar-based verification and selfie verification to confirm user identity and age.
  • Profile moderation by our team to identify and remove suspected underage accounts.
  • Community reporting mechanism for users to flag suspected underage accounts.
