Welcome to Riishta. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age (21 years if required by your religion/customs to marry).
  • You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of India.

2. Account, Information & Representations

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete and truthful information, and to keep it updated.
  • Providing falsified, misleading or impersonated information is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or deletion of your profile without notice, and without any refund of membership fees. Riishta may cooperate with law enforcement and initiate appropriate legal action as per applicable Indian laws.
  • By submitting your phone number and email ID, you consent to be contacted for service, security, verification, payment updates, and marketing communications via SMS, WhatsApp, email and phone, even if your number is registered on any DND/Do Not Disturb registry.

3. Payments, Pricing & Refunds

  • Plan prices, features and eligibility may change from time to time. Taxes may apply as per law.
  • All payments made for membership plans, add-ons, or services are final and non‑refundable and will not be adjusted, set-off, or carried forward under any circumstances, including but not limited to user-initiated cancellation, profile deletion, rejection by other members, or non-usage.
  • Promo/referral codes are discretionary, may offer percentage or flat discounts, and have limited validity and usage restrictions. They are non‑transferable and have no cash value.
  • For UPI payments, please ensure you pay to the correct UPI ID shown on the checkout page and retain the UTR/Transaction ID for verification. Submitting payment information does not by itself guarantee activation; activation occurs after our verification.

4. Acceptable Use & Member Conduct

  • You will use the Platform only for lawful matrimonial purposes and not for any commercial solicitation, harassment, obscenity, defamation, or unlawful activity.
  • We may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, and restrict access if we believe these Terms or applicable law are violated, without notice and without refund.

5. Data, Privacy & Record Retention

  • We collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and other prevailing rules. Our data may be stored in India and/or outside India in compliance with applicable law.
  • We retain records and user data for the period required for operational needs, dispute resolution, legal and regulatory compliance, taxation and fraud‑prevention purposes, in line with reasonable record‑maintenance practices followed in India.
  • By using the Platform, you consent to our processing and retention of your data as described above.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of member profiles or that you will find a match. Interactions with other members are at your sole risk; exercise due diligence.
  • The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our aggregate liability shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the applicable paid plan during the preceding three months, if any.

7. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or applicable law, without notice and without refund.
  • You may delete your account at any time; however, payments already made are non‑refundable.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts/authorities in India for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
